You’ve heard about the incredible fitness, health and relaxation amenities coming to 1010 Brickell– running track overlooking the Miami Skyline, indoor pool, rock-climbing wall, luxury spa, and much more- but have you heard about the incredible art structure planned for the lobby?
A fantastic art installation from renowned Colombian designer and artist Lucas Jaramillo is one step closer to taking root in the lobby at 1010 Brickell. After scouring the tropical forest and coastline of La Guajira, Colombia, Jaramillo has located and excavated the perfect fallen tree, buried on the beach at the mouth of the Rio Palomino. Jaramillo is now in the creative process of constructing a beautiful and functional installation for the lobby at 1010 Brickell.
It’s the first step in a more than two-year process, where the 16-foot naturally fallen tree will be repurposed to become a dramatic work of sustainable art that not only enhances the beauty of 1010 Brickell with its intricate and beautiful root structure, but also gives back to the natural environment from where it was found. As a carbon neutral project, Jaramillo will plant 25,000 seedlings in the Colombian rainforest in order to ensure the next generation of trees in the area is sustainable.
This is just another way in which the high-end development is going to redefine urban luxury living in the heart of Miami- Brickell, Downtown.
“People are excited by this building,” added Arnaud Karsenti, Managing Principal of 13th Floor Investments. “It’s different than anything else out there right now. It’s actually designed with the end users in mind and the market is responding with resounding approval.”
